Publications
Union Farmer – The official publication of your Rocky Mountain Farmers Union. Published bi-monthly, it provides in-depth information on issues and organization activities; legislative updates at the state and federal level; information on the cooperative and economic development initiatives underway in rural communities; education opportunities for the whole family; renewable energy programs and activities; and more.
Livestock Brief – A daily e-newsletter delivered directly to your email address daily. The newsletter provides market information and up-to-date news from livestock sources around the nation and the world. A value of $200 annually, sent to you daily as a Regular member of Rocky Mountain Farmers Union.
LegisLetter – Weekly newsletter sent electronically or via mail, during the state legislative session keeping you up-to-date on happenings at the state capitols in Denver, Santa Fe and Cheyenne. It also includes bill tracking ability, enabling you to look up specific legislation of interest, review the specific legislation; find out if amendments have been made; where the proposed legislation is within the process; fiscal cost, if any; and other information.
Action Alerts – Special alerts on legislation, hearings, meetings and events of interest are provided to members with an interest of being involved directly. RMFU is a grassroots organization, providing information to members, encouraging their personal involvement and the opportunity to express their thoughts and suggestions to elected and appointed officials.
Membership Discounts
FARMERS UNION INSURANCE DISCOUNTS:
Auto Insurance – As a current member you may qualify for a discount on your Farmers Union Auto Insurance, see your local Farmers Union Insurance Agent today! Your discount may return the value of your membership in cash!
Homeowners Insurance – A current membership will qualify you for a 5 percent (5%) discount on your Farmers Union Homeowners Insurance. See your local Farmers Union Insurance agent to be sure your discount has been applied to your homeowners insurance!
Package Discount – As a Farmers Union member, if you package both your Farmers Union Auto and Homeowners or Farm Insurance you can receive an additional discount on your total insurance package!
HOTEL DISCOUNT:
Choice Hotels – Your membership entitles you up to a 10 percent (10%) discount at Choice International hotels. Enclosed in the membership packet is your identification number to provide the hotel at the time you make your reservation. If you lose your card please contact Rocky Mountain Farmers Union and we will be glad to replace your card.
AUTO AND TRUCK DISCOUNTS:
New Automobile and Truck Discount: Rocky Mountain Farmers Union members can receive a $250 discount on the purchase of a new automobile or truck at participating dealerships. Please watch the Union Farmer, visit the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union web site at www.rmfu; visit your local Farmers Union Insurance Agent; or call 1-800-373-7638 ask for Amanda Rewerts to obtain a listing of the dealerships that are a part of the program.
USED AUTOMOBILE AND TRUCK DISCOUNT:
Rocky Mountain Farmers Union members can receive a $100 discount on the purchase of a used automobile or truck, with a purchase price of at least $8,000, at participating dealerships. PRESCRIPTION DISCOUNT:
Pharmacy Saving Card: Rocky Mountain Farmers Union members receive a “Cooperative Healthy Savings (CHS) Free Pharmacy Card that provides savings between 10% and 60% on most medications. The program is accepted at over 60,000 national and regional pharmacy chains, as well as independent pharmacies. The program provides members a mail order option for long-term medications. The discount card is not insurance or intended as a substitute for insurance. Your “Cooperative Healthy Savings (CHS) card is enclosed in the membership packet. If you lose your card or would like an additional card for family members please contact your local Farmers Union agent or the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union office, we will be glad to furnish you additional cards.
Membership Insurance
ACCIDENTAL DEATH AND DISMEMBERMENT INSURANCE:
Rocky Mountain Farmers Union regular members receive $5,000 coverage on the member and $2,500 coverage on the members spouse and dependents. Rocky Mountain Farmers Union associate members receive $2,000 coverage on the member and $1,000 coverage on the members spouse and dependents. Members can purchase additional accidental death and dismemberment coverage on their families at very low rates. Information and an application form our included in your membership packet.
